The bathroom is a common room in households across the world, and there are many different ways to say it in Arabic. The most commonly used word for “bathroom” is حمام (ḥammām), which literally translates as “bath” or “shower”.

How to Say Bathroom in Arabic

Another option could be الحمام (al-ḥammām), which means “the bathroom”.

والحمام بالنوم الخاصة الغرفة (al-ghurfat al-khāṣa bil-nūm wa lḥammām). This phrase can mean either “the bedroom and bathroom combined” or simply just “the private room with a bathtub/shower inside.”

البيت في هناك مسرتي (masrati hinak fī l-bayt). This phrase translates to “my little place there at home” and is often used colloquially as a way of referring to the bathroom without actually saying its name out loud.

للسباحه الاستعداد من نوع (naʿam min al-‘astiʿdād lil sibbāh). This can mean “a kind of preparation for swimming,” but it has come to refer metaphorically to getting ready for a shower or bath!

1. I’m going to the bathroom to brush my teeth. – أنا ذاهب إلى الحمام لتنظيف أسناني. – ‘ana dhahib ‘iilaa alhamam litanzif ‘asnani.

2. Please don’t leave any mess in the bathroom! – من فضلك لا تترك أي فوضى في الحمام! – min fadlik la tatruk ‘aya fawdaa fi alhamami!

3. The bathroom is a very important part of our home. – يعد الحمام جزءًا مهمًا جدًا من منزلنا. – yueadu alhamaam jz’an mhman jdan min manzilina.

4. We have two bathrooms in this house, one upstairs and one downstairs. لدينا حمامان في هذا المنزل ، أحدهما في الطابق العلوي والآخر في الطابق السفلي. – ladayna hamaman fi hadha almanzil , ‘ahaduhuma fi altaabiq aleulwii walakhir fi altaabiq alsufli.

5. You can find extra towels and toiletries in the bathroom cabinet for your convenience. – يمكنك العثور على مناشف ولوازم استحمام إضافية في خزانة الحمام لراحتك. – yumkinuk aleuthur ealaa manashif walawazim astihmam ‘iidafiatan fi khizanat alhamam lirahatika.

6. Don’t forget to turn off all the lights when you leave the bathroom! – لا تنس إطفاء جميع الأضواء عند مغادرة الحمام! – la tans ‘iitfa’ jamie al’adwa’ eind mughadarat alhamami!

7. Did you remember to flush before leaving the bathroom? – هل تذكرت التنظيف قبل مغادرة الحمام؟ – hal tadhakart altanzif qabl mughadarat alhamami?
