How to Say I Am Good in Spanish

When someone asks how you are doing or inquires about your well-being, Spanish culture expects you to reply politely. The common phrase to let the person know that you are in a good state of being is – soy buena (female) or soy bueno (male).

Soy Buena / Soy Bueno – Depending on gender, both of these Spanish greeting phrases mean a positive assertion that your personal situation is satisfactory in all aspects. It may also mean that you are happy or your life is going on well.

Unlike “I’m fine” which is more neutral, when you tell someone that you are good, you are also telling them that you’re morally sound and definitely happy about your state of being or how things are going currently.

Also, saying “I am good,” may be an informal way of telling someone, maybe the receptionist or waiter, that you are satisfied. You may also use this Spanish phrase to tell them that you are good at doing something. Estoy Buena or estoy bueno, meaning “I’m good” may be used instead.

Few Examples of when to say I Am Good in Spanish
How are you? – I am good, thank you. – “¿Cómo estás? – Soy bueno, gracias.”

Don’t worry. Thanks, I am good. – “No se preocupe. Gracias soy buena.”

I’m good at baking. – “Soy bueno en la cocción.”

Thank you Charles, I’m good for now. – “Gracias Charles, estoy buena por ahora.”
