Best Hiking Trails in Connecticut

Known as the Constitution state, Connecticut is home to a variety of hiking trails that range from coastal lines along the east to Berkshire hills in the west. The highest elevation in the state is only 2,300 feet so there isn’t any technical trails if you are looking for a advanced trek, but their are quite a bit of moderate hikes that give great views of Connecticut’s breathtaking countryside.

Although Connecticut is the 3rd smallest state in the US, there are still over 140 state parks and even more urban hiking areas around each city. You’ll find thousands of people lace up their shoes every day and enjoy a nice stroll around town. For the campers or weekend enthusiasts, there are great wilderness hiking trails as well that will take you through rivers, waterfalls, and forests that help reconnect you with mother nature. If that isn’t enough, head east and hike along the boardwalks or beach coastlines for a more romantic setting. There is no reason you can’t find the perfect hike in the beautiful state of Connecticut.
