Best Hiking Trails in Delaware
In the heart of the east coast and between the states of New Jersey and Maryland likes a little known patch of area known as Delaware. Although not the most popular places to visit, locals love to refer to their home state as “the Small Wonder”. At about the size of Anchorage, AK or twice the size of Rhode Island, Delaware is quite deceiving when it comes to all the amazing outdoor activities and hiking trails you can enjoy.
In total there is roughly 100 miles of different paths and hiking trails just in the state parks alone. Although most are easy strolls as you take in the beauty and scenic views, there are some more moderate hikes if you plan to venture out of the cities and towards some of the wilderness peaks. If you rather stay close to where you are staying, the Atlantic Ocean isn’t far from most popular destinations and some of the best hikes in the state are along it’s coastline shores and beaches. In fact Delaware has been named the best cycling state in the US several times now due to it’s vast trail system and easy of access.
