The Anchorage Zoo actually began with efforts to help injured animals in Alaska. Fast forward 50 years later and their mission hasn’t changed much other than now having over 100 different species of animals including bear, eagles, tigers, and more. It’s facility expands over 30 acres of land and nestled along the mountains giving breathtaking views of Anchorage while enjoying different animals live in natural habitats.
