Gunnison sits at an elevation of almost 9,000 feet making this hot springs also one of the highest in the United States. When you aren’t out horseback riding or ATVing on one of the hundreds of trails in the area, Waunita Hot Springs has a large natural mineral pool for a relaxing soak before starting on your next adventure. No chemicals are needed as the pool is feed continuously by the geothermal source nearby. It keeps an average temperature year round of roughly 95 degrees. There is also a small hot tub area next to the pool which is a little hotter at 100 degrees.
The ranch resort also offers a couple amenities such as restrooms and showers. As far as activities, now the fun begins. Just a few things you can do around the ranch are:

1. Begin on US-50 West towards Gunnison (138 miles)
2. The road will turn into dirt – CO 887. Continue for another 8 miles and you will reach the ranch.
