How to Say Good Morning in Croatian

1) Dobro jutro – This is probably the most common way to say “good morning” in Croatia and can be used when greeting friends, family members or strangers alike. It literally means “good day” but is usually used as a greeting for those starting their day.

2) Bok – Another popular way to wish someone a good morning is by saying bok which translates as “hello” or “hi” in English. This casual expression can also be used throughout the day when talking with friends and family – not just first thing in the morning!

3) Laku noć – Although this phrase directly translates as ‘have a nice night’, it can also be used at any time during the day (including mornings!) as an informal way of wishing someone well. It’s similar to how we might use ‘take care’ or ‘be safe’ when saying goodbye in English.

4) Sretan dan – This phrase simply means have a happy/pleasant day and can be said both at sunrise or sunset; making it perfect for those wanting something more special than just dobro jutro or bok!

5) Pozdravljam te– A slightly more formal version of pozdrav which translates into “I greet you” .This phrase would typically work best if you were greeting somebody older than yourself such as an elder relative, boss etc.

6) Doviđenja – Literally meaning goodbye, this could still make for an interesting twist on wishing someone a good morning instead! Doviđenja works especially well if you’re leaving somebody after spending time together during early hours due its friendly yet farewell feel about it.
