Givens Hot Springs – Melba, Idaho
Located near Boise, Idaho in a town called Melba is a hidden treasure called Givens Hot Springs. Founded in 1881, people from all over the world have visited this natural springs and 140 years later it’s no different. Of course there have been upgrades over time, but the historical feel and landmarks still remain which take you back in time as you stroll around the grounds.
Givens Hot Springs is nestled alongside Snake River and offers an outdoor pool and hot tub for you to enjoy. The source of the geothermal waters comes up from the ground at almost 140 degrees, but is cooled quite considerable for the large pool. The average temperature year round is between 99-100 degrees. However, the private hot tub can be a blistering 125-130 degrees and only a few minutes is recommended before cooling back down in the pool.
Givens Hot Springs is open all year long and is free to guests who are staying the night. Overnight lodging isn’t as luxurious as some other hot springs in Idaho, but they do over RV and tent camping, one cabin on site, as well as a trailer for rent. If you’d like to stay in the cabin it’s highly recommended you call in advance for a reservation as they only have one and can be booked rather quickly.

1. Start on 6th Street South towards I-84 (half a mile)
2. Continue on I-84 to ID-78 East (36 miles)
3. Continue on ID-78 East for roughly 12 miles and you will arrive at your destination.
