Deer Creek Hot Springs
Oregon is well known for their primitive hot springs and Deer Creek is another one that should be on your bucket list of places to visit. Nestled alongside the McKenzie River, the scenic backdrop of Oregon’s wilderness with the sounds of rushing waters makes this one of the best places to soak in the states natural mineral waters while rejuvenating your body and soul.

As you arrive to Deer Creek Hot Springs you’ll notice that the pooled off area has been created by sectioning rocks off the river. It can get quite hot averaging a temperature around 104 degrees and moving a few rocks around can control the temp to your preference. The ideal time to visit is summer and fall months as the winter snow can hinder not only the hike to get there, but also the hotness of the springs. Due to this, it can get rather busy in the peak months so make sure you go early or try a weekday to avoid any crowds.
