The city of Thermopolis did an amazing job at showcasing their world class hot springs facility. In total you will have access to:
- 2 main hot springs pools (one indoor and one outdoor)
- 2 hot springs tubs
- 3 different hot springs water slides
- 10 foot high dive into the outdoor mineral pool
- 1 vapor cave
- 2 smaller hot spring kids pools
- Snack bar and game room

Star Plunge Hot Springs gets it’s natural mineral waters from a source call the Big Spring. As it feeds into the facility, it helps to heat the main pool areas, while keeping the water clean (no chemicals are used here). The outdoor mineral pool keeps an impressive year round temperature of around 92-94 degrees. The indoor mineral pool keeps a year round temperature of 96-98 degrees. For those who need a little more heat, head over to the hot springs tubs which crank up the heat along with some massaging jets to 104-106 degrees.

If you bring your family for a day of fun, be prepared to lose your kids for hours to the water slides that seem to be all throughout the park. The world famous “Super Star 500” is their featured water slide and is one of the largest in the world at over 500 feet as it twists and winds patrons around and around until dumping you out into a large pooled off area. With over 2,000 gallons of rushing water a minute, it’s one of the most impressive waterslides we have seen, let a lone being at a hot springs facility. Star Plunge’s second water slide is their Blue Thunder Run which is still a massive 330 foot attractions with many winding curves to entertain people of all ages. The third and final waterslide is the Lil Dipper which is a 60 foot slide made for the little ones who want to brave the rushing waters.
If that’s not enough, Star Plunge Hot Springs also has an amazing vapor cave that feels similar to a steam room where you can sweat out any toxins while taking in some scenic views of the caves.
