Details about South Canyon Hot Springs

The water at South Canyon Hot Springs is naturally heated underground with temperatures reaching up to 110 degrees Fahrenheit (43 Celsius). It’s very high in mineral content as well so it has great healing properties for your skin. Soaking in these warm waters can help relax muscles, reduce stress, improve circulation, relieve joint pain and detoxify your body all at once!

After soaking in the hot springs you can take a short hike down to explore more of the area or simply enjoy some peace and quiet while admiring the views around you. There are several trails leading off from here including ones that will take you across creeks and over ridges with spectacular views along the way. You may even spot some wildlife like deer or elk if you’re lucky!

The hot springs also have campsites available so you can stay overnight. There aren’t any amenities nearby so be sure to bring all the necessary camping supplies. It’s also recommended plenty of bug spray since mosquitos tend to be quite bad here during certain times of year.

Swimming isn’t allowed due to safety concerns so please just stick to soaking instead. Overall South Canyon Hot Springs is an amazing place offering you a day of enjoying beautiful scenery, relaxing waters, and peaceful hikes. Whether you choose this destination for a weekend getaway or just need a relaxing soak for a few hours, this natural oasis should definitely be on your list when visiting Colorado!
