By

Set in the beautiful Willamette National Forest, Deer Creek Hot Springs, also known as Bigelow, is the perfect retreat for a relaxing soak. The pool itself is big enough for roughly two to four people and feeds right off the bank of the McKenzie River.

As you take in the scenery, enjoy the natural healing remedies of the mineral waters that bubble up from the bottom of the sand / gravel. During the peak seasons you can expect temperatures right around 102 degrees, assuming there are no breaks in the rocks from the McKenzie. During the winter months in can get much cooler and to most not an ideal place for a good soak.

Clothing is optional so it is best for just adults. That doesn’t mean kids can’t go, just be prepared for nudity. Deer Creek (Bigelow) hot springs is also open year round and is considered an undeveloped pool. There are some parking areas roughly a couple hundred yards away so no hiking involved.
