Another phrase used to say what’s up in French is – Quoi de neuf.

Quoi de neuf – This is the common way to say what’s up in French. This can be used as an informal greeting, or sometimes, a pleasant farewell. You can use this French greeting phrase in a friendly way on meeting someone or when texting, to ask what is going on, what is happening, or how the person is doing.

What’s more, quoi de neuf may also be considered as a casual greeting with a meaning that is quite similar to how are you? If you’re with your French-speaking friends at home, loved ones, or traveling to a French-speaking country, saying this phrase may be a great way to be more conversational.
