Peavine Falls is a stunning waterfall located in the Bankhead National Forest of northwest Alabama. It is one of the most beautiful and popular natural attractions in the state, drawing hundreds of visitors each year to experience its beauty.

The falls are situated on Peavine Creek, which flows through a narrow gorge before cascading down into a deep pool at the bottom. The entire spectacle is framed by lush vegetation, making it an ideal spot for photography and sightseeing. The site also features several other interesting features such as large rock formations lining both sides of the creek and crystal-clear pools along its banks that provide excellent swimming opportunities for those looking to cool off during hot summer days.

Visitors can also enjoy fishing or take leisurely hikes along trails winding their way around Peavine Falls’ many scenic points of interest. Additionally, camping spots are available nearby allowing travelers to make use of all this area has to offer without having to go too far from home base. Directions to Peavine Falls

To get there from Double Springs take Highway 33 south for five miles and turn left onto County Road 1101. Follow this road for two miles until you reach a fork in the road with an old logging road off to your right.

This is Peavine Falls Road; take it and follow it 1/2 mile until you see the trailhead on your left. Park here and start hiking! The trail will lead you down into the canyon where you can find Peavine Falls cascading over rocks into a tranquil pool below. Enjoy!
