With over 151 different campsites, Mirror Lake State Park has a little something for everyone. Nestled in Wisconsin’s wilderness, most campgrounds are right in the woods with firepits, tables, and even sand areas to pitch your tent. With epic views of mother nature and tons of activities in the area, Mirror Lake State Park is the perfect place to spend a weekend camping.

There are few different campgrounds you can choose from. Each one requires a reservation, but can be made same day or even up to 11 months out. You can call 1-888-947-2757 to book your camping spot.

Sandstone Ridge Campground

  • There are 68 campsites
  • Roughly 30 of them have electricity available
  • A few of the camping spots are walk-in
  • Showers and toilets are available at this campground

If you plan on boating, this is the ideal campground as it’s the closest to the drop in area. It’s also very close to the Lakeview Trail which is very popular in the summer months.

Cliffwood Campground

  • There are 35 campsites to pitch a tent
  • There are a handful of sites that are considered double sites and ideal for larger groups who need more space
  • Showers and toilets are accessible

You may see quite a few hikers pass your tent in the early morning as Echo Rock Trail cuts right through on it’s way to the Ishnala bridge and Mirror Lake gorge.

Bluewater Bay Campground

  • There are 63 campsites available
  • There is an amphitheater, volleyball court, playground, and shelter located at the campground
  • There are several walk-in tent campsites to choose from and the ideal location for families.
  • Larger sites that can host up to 20 people are located at this campground

Firewood is also available to buy at the state park. If you haven’t tried tent camping at this amazing Wisconsin state park, make sure you put it on your bucket list. It’s a great way to get the family out of town for a while and enjoy mother nature for what it was intended. Happy Camping!
