Griffin Falls is a small yet stunning waterfall located in the amazing Oak Mountain State Park near Birmingham, Alabama. The falls are named after Griffin Creek which flows over a large rock ledge and cascades down into a deep pool below surrounded by lush foliage.

This 30-foot tall waterfall is easily accessible via hiking trails that wind through the park’s rolling hills, making it an ideal spot for nature lovers to take in some of Alabama’s natural beauty. The surrounding area around Griffin Falls offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities such as fishing, biking, camping, picnicking and more. There are also several other waterfalls nearby including Peavine Falls and Valley View Falls.

Despite its relatively small size compared to bigger waterfalls like Noccalula Waterfall or Little River Canyon National Preserve’s DeSoto Falls, Griffin Falls still provides visitors with an unforgettable experience due to its serene setting and picturesque views. Its easy access makes it perfect for those looking to spend a few hours enjoying the great outdoors without having to venture too far away from home.

Directions to Caney Creek Falls

If you’re looking to visit Griffin Falls in Alabama, here are some directions to help you get there:

1. Head north on I-65 towards Decatur.

2. Take exit 334 for AL-20/US 31 towards Athens.

3. Turn left onto AL-20 E/US 31 N and continue for 11 miles until you reach the small town of Elkmont, Alabama.

4. Once in Elkmont, take a right onto County Road 16 (Elkton Rd) and drive for about 4 miles until you see an old gravel road on your left with a sign that says “Griffin Falls” pointing down it – this is your turn!

5. Follow the winding gravel road for about 2 more miles until you reach Griffin Falls!
