Copper Falls

By

Copper Falls is a beautiful state park located in Wisconsin’s Northwoods. It is known for its stunning waterfalls and scenic views, as well as its fascinating history. The park was established in 1929 and has been popular ever since. The main attraction of the park is the two impressive waterfalls: Brownstone Falls and Copper Falls. Both are over thirty feet tall, with Brownstone being slightly higher at 33 feet.

Details about Copper Falls

The falls have been around for centuries, but were only made accessible to visitors by the construction of pathways leading down from the parking lot to their base in 1936. Visitors can also take advantage of viewing platforms that are strategically placed along both sides of each waterfall so they can get an up-close look at them without having to stand too close to their edges or bottom pools filled with rushing water below them.

In addition to these breathtaking falls, Copper Falls State Park offers plenty more activities for visitors looking for some outdoor adventure and family fun! There are miles of hiking trails available throughout the park that feature gorgeous old growth forest filled with towering pines, maples, oaks and cedars; making it a great place for bird watching or nature photography opportunities!

For those seeking some additional physical activity there is camping sites which offer primitive tent camping spots as well as RV spaces equipped with electric hookups perfect for longer stays; plus several boat landings on either side of Tyler Lake where anglers can cast out into deep waters teeming with fish like walleye, northern pike and bass all season long!

Other recreational options include biking trails through thick woods or mountain bike paths winding through rocky terrain; winter sports including cross-country skiing & snowshoeing when conditions permit; swimming areas near both falls (with lifeguards on duty during peak summer months); picnicking grounds just off rustic campgrounds & much more! No matter what type of experience you seek while visiting Copper Falls State Park – be sure not miss out on this natural wonderland tucked away within Wisconsin’s Northwoods region! With spectacular views from every angle around every corner – you’ll leave feeling refreshed & inspired after taking in all that this incredible landscape has to offer!
