By

This cozy little beach sport is just south of Ocean Park Boulevard and offers golden shores and blue waters without too many people to crowd the shores. The park itself offers visitors many amenities and is a perfect spot if you are looking for a more relaxing and easygoing beach trip.

The area is also well known by locals and tourists as a beautiful snorkeling location. The crystal waters and relatively calm sure beckon swimmers to come to explore the beauty offshore.

Activities

Swimming, sunbathing, surfing, snorkeling, picnicking, bird watching, marine life sighting, and just strolling the secluded beach are great ways to spend the day here.

Vista Park Beach is also an excellent location for diving. Just offshore, you can find all sorts of marine life like nurse sharks, squids, and a plethora of unique fish species.

It is also a reasonably safe area for novice divers or solo dives.

Amenities

The beach itself is immaculate and often uncrowded, but there is not much in terms of amenities. There are picnic tables to have lunch at and a nearby parking lot.

The parking lot is very close, though. You can quickly go back and forth to set up your spot at the beach with chairs and umbrellas without too much hassle.

Keep in mind that there are no lifeguard stations at this beach.

Nearby Attractions

Just a few blocks south, you will find Loggerhead Park. This tiny pocket park, named after the endangered turtle that swims on these shores, offers bathrooms and dog-friendly facilities.

Nearby on Oakland Park Drive, you will find an abundance of restaurants and bars that sit on the edge of the Intracoastal, giving some excellent dinnertime views.

Fun Facts

A natural reef sits just a few hundred yards in the water, a great location for sea life and divers alike.

Much like other beaches in the area, Vista Park Beach is known to be very LGBT friendly and is often rated high for tourists looking for more inclusive beaches.
