Teneriffe Falls – Washington
For the more adventurous people, we highly recommend taking the trek up to Teneriffe Falls in Washington. Not only is it a rewarding hike up the mountain, but the scenic views and hidden gem located in Snoqualmie Valley makes it the perfect way to spend a day in mother nature.

We do want to warn you that this is a more moderate hike and does have quite the elevation change as you get closer to the falls. The first mile is the easiest part with great views of the wilderness and wildlife. It’s quite a winding path with over 20 switchbacks that lead you up to to Teneriffe Falls. The last mile is where it gets tricky as you climb almost 900 feet in elevation. Be sure to check the weather as it’s almost impossible to get up if it’s raining due to the loose rocks and dirt turning into mud.
When you finally reach your destination, you will be rewarded with the first section known as lower Teneriffe Falls. This is the perfect place to take a quick stop for a snack and enjoy the beautiful sounds of the cascading waters. Once you are rested, it’s just a short path left to reach the upper waterfall section. Beware you will be close to several large drop offs so stay on the trail at all times. The upper Teneriffe Falls is iconic to Washington and gives breathtaking views of the surrounding mountain ranges.
If the waterfalls isn’t enough, there is one more path that has been made by hikers to summit to the top of Mount Teneriffe. Happy Exploring!
