Sunny Isles Beach – Sunny Isles, Florida

Sunny Isles is located just a few miles away from the heart of downtown Miami. This barrier island is boarded on each side by the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway.

If you are looking for a more calming and tranquil area to explore the sandy shores of Miami, then you may want to check this beach out.

The area is home to not only some fantastic beaches but also boast luxury hotels and extravagant eateries. But what keeps visitors coming to the shores of Sunny Isles is the plethora of public parks and areas to just get away from the chaotic South Beach area and enjoy some fun and sun without the hassle of city life.

Activities

Swimming, sunbathing, biking, walking, reading by the water, and biking can be done at Sunny Isles.

There are plenty of beach parks, too, and some that hug the island’s interior, giving access to the Intracoastal Waterway’s waterfront views.

One park that stands out is Samson Oceanfront Park. This 2.1-acre beachfront park is a great place to go for the day with various amenities to use and beach access to Sunny Isles miles of pristine white sand shores.

There are also places to rent watersport gear like jet skis. This is a fantastic way to discover the turquoise blue water that Sunny Isles is known for.

Amenities

Depending on where you are on the beach, you can find all sorts of amenities. Look out for showers, bathrooms, volleyball courts, pavilions, bike racks, and even free Wi-Fi.

The city has its own free public transport system, the SIB Shuttle, that can take you across the city and stops and several parks and beach access areas.

Nearby Attractions

The Newport Fishing Pier is the perfect place for an angler to cast out a line and try their luck at surf fishing. Getting onto the pier isn’t free, so be prepared to shell out a small amount to gain access.

If you want to explore the Intracoastal side of the barrier island, you should check out the Intracoastal Parks. This system of four small parcel parks offers some beautiful waterfront views and public green space.

Fun Facts

Sunny Isles Beach is home to the luxurious Trump International Beach Resort. The building that makes up the resort can be seen from all over the Sunny Isles.

If you want to get out with your four-legged friends there happens to be three dog parks in Sunny Isles Beach.
