Details about Liberty Falls

The falls can be seen from both sides of Mendenhall Glacier, which makes it particularly appealing for those who are looking to take in some breathtaking scenery while visiting this popular destination. The Liberty Waterfall is around 300 feet high and consists of two tiers that cascade down into a pool at its base. The upper tier has a drop height of about 180 feet, while the lower tier drops approximately 120 feet before cascading into an icy pool that nobody would dare jump into.

During different times of year, you may notice varying amounts water flowing over each tie. During peak season (May-July), these falls are quite impressive as they rush down over their rocky surface creating beautiful white foam along their path. As you stand near Liberty Waterfall’s edge or view it from afar, prepare to be mesmerized by its power and beauty!
