Liard Hot Springs has become quite popular due to it’s location and natural setting. Tourists love to choose this spot for camping and lodging as there are very scenic hikes as you tour Provincial Park. The natural thermal springs are open every day of the year and include an Alpha pool that can be quite hot to most. However as you move down the river you can find some cooler temps. They did use to have a Beta pool, but that unfortunately has been closed. There is a nice boardwalk that leads to the hot springs and passes some great views of the lush vegetation and swamps. The resort does ask that you remain on the boardwalk to avoid damaging the habitat. Even if you stay on it you will catch a lot of wildlife including birds, mammals, and even some moose.
