Details about Lewis Falls – WY

The falls drop from an elevation of about 80 feet (24 meters), creating a spectacular cascade of water that can be seen for miles around. The area around Lewis Falls offers visitors plenty to do, including exploring its unique geology and abundant wildlife. A number of hiking trails meander through the surrounding forests, offering views of fields full of wildflowers in summertime or snow-covered mountains during winter months.

Wildlife sightings are also common here—elk, bison, moose, wolves and grizzly bears all call this region home. For those looking to get up close and personal with nature, there are several ways to experience Lewis Falls directly. Visitors can take a boat tour along the river that passes by the base of the falls or hike one of many trails leading right up to them for an unforgettable view! Anglers will find plenty of fish in these waters as well—trout species like rainbow trout and brown trout thrive here due to their colder temperatures than other rivers in Yellowstone Park.

No matter how you choose to explore it, visiting Lewis Falls is sure to leave you mesmerized by its beauty!
