Fairy Falls

Fairy Falls

By

Fairy Falls is a beautiful waterfall located in the Upper Geyser Basin of Yellowstone National Park. It stands at an impressive height of over 200 feet and cascades down into the Firehole River below. The unique feature of Fairy Falls is that it flows from two separate sources, which creates an interesting double-tiered effect as it falls to the river below.

The name “Fairy Falls” comes from its delicate beauty, which many visitors find enchanting and reminiscent of fairies dancing in the water. This area of Yellowstone also provides plenty of opportunities for wildlife viewing, with bison, elk, bears, deer and wolves often spotted in the surrounding meadows or along the banks of nearby rivers. In addition to these animals, Fairy Falls offers visitors a chance to see some amazing geothermal features such as hot springs and mud pots up close.
