Texas Waterfalls Map
The Lone Star State may not be recognized as a top travel destination for those who like to chase waterfalls, but make no mistake as it is home to some of the most amazing landscapes and cascading waters in the US. As the second largest state, there are a variety of regions that are home to these falls, with most being in south east Texas (where most of the wilderness and state parks reside).
As you can see in the map above, Austin is the gateway hub if you are looking to do a day trip to one of these majestic waterfalls. Just east of the city is Davy Crockett National Forest which transfers you into a new world of lush vegetation and mountain peaks where locals love to go in the summer months to escape the heat and enjoy a nice soak in falls swimming hole. Camping is quite popular when traveling to these destinations as there are miles and miles of hiking trails where new falls are waiting to be discovered. So break out your map and go discover your own slice of paradise!
