Potato River Falls is a beautiful waterfall located in Iron County, Wisconsin. The falls are situated on the Potato River, which flows between Upson and Gurney, two small towns in northern Wisconsin. The river is about 20 miles long and has many rapids along its course with the largest one being at Potato River Falls.

The Potato River falls is approximately twenty feet high and can be heard from quite some distance away due to its thunderous roar. It’s an amazing sight to behold as the water cascades over the rocks into a large pool below that is surrounded by lush vegetation and trees. There are several platforms around it for visitors to get close up views of this spectacular natural wonder of nature.

The best time to visit Potato River Falls would be during spring or summer when there isn’t much snowfall or freezing temperatures as they can make accessing parts of the area difficult or even dangerous due to slippery surfaces caused by ice and snow accumulation.
