How to Say Ok in German
“In Ordnug” is German for Okay. Although like in English they will say “Okay, K (kay), or ok.” Ordunug can translate to many nouns in English such as organized, rules, and order.
Saying any of these terms are only in informal settings and never when you are speaking with someone older, or with more authority! In Germany this phrase can be taken as being sarcastic however they usually don’t take it in that context when visitors say it, so don’t worry about being disrespectful.
If you say Okay when being asked to do something by a friend or your sister, that would be just fine. If you were to say it when Your boss asks for you to complete and assignment, it would look very poorly and unprofessional.
Also just Like in English the word “OK” means that you are in agreement with something, or that you understand something.
