Details about Little Navajo Falls

The falls are an impressive sight to behold, with their towering height of nearly sixty feet and their thundering roar as they plunge into the canyon below. The area around Little Navajo Falls is full of breathtaking beauty and incredible wildlife. Visitors can explore miles of scenic trails that wind through thick stands of ponderosa pine trees while keeping an eye out for deer, elk, wild turkeys, eagles, and other animals that call this area home.

Additionally there are many opportunities to camp or fish along these trails or simply take in all that nature has to offer from one spot along the riverbank overlooking the majestic falls themselves. The history behind Little Navajo Falls is quite interesting as well. According to legend it was once used by Native Americans as part of their spiritual ceremonies – hence why it’s called “Little Navajo” today – though no one knows exactly what those ceremonies were like or when they took place here specifically. Regardless it remains a sacred site for many people today who come here seeking peace and solace amidst nature’s beauty.

If you ever find yourself searching for a peaceful retreat away from civilization then definitely consider visiting Little Navajo Falls! It truly embodies everything special about Arizona’s Coconino National Forest: awe-inspiring waterfalls surrounded by lush forests teeming with wildlife and blessed with rich cultural history – all just waiting to be explored!
