Located in Nakusp, BC, Halcyon Hot Springs Village and Spa is one of those places in Canada that makes our top 10 places to visit. To go along with their amazing thermal pools, there are year round activities such as hiking, camping, skiing, fishing, and more.
The resort itself offer luxury accommodations and spa treatment packages while you soak beneath the stars during late hours. There aren’t many places to relax after a long day like Halcyon Hot Springs.
Nestled between scenic peaks, Halycon Hot Springs have several healing pools and springs to enjoy. Their natural mineral swimming pool is the perfect place to enjoy a cold winter night under the stars or to just cool down after soaking in one of the hot pools. Speaking of hot springs, there are three variations of pools you can try depending on how brave you are.
Their hottest pool is roughly 107 degrees Fahrenheit and is probably the most popular of all three. Their warm pool which is located on the upper deck is roughly 95 degrees Fahrenheit and includes relaxing jets. The third option is considered their cold hot springs pool which comes in at 85 degrees Fahrenheit. We recommend trying all three as each one gives great views of British Columbia and all offer relaxation and rejuvenation. If you have a family with kids, Halcyon Hot Springs does also have a kids spray park to splash around in.
The history of the hot springs doesn’t date back like most. It was once known as the Halcyon Sanitarium until 1955 when it was opened to the public for use. Since then the resort has opened and provide cabins, camping, and luxury accommodations to any traveler that wants to enjoy 5 star lodging. From waking up in luxurious linens, enjoying local breakfast cuisine, and then heading down to get a early soak is just one possibility out of thousands you can do. If you do stay at the resort you do get unlimited access to the hot springs pools.

This is troubling news as people have been enjoying camping at Halycon for a long time due to it’s location and closeness to trails, but that doesn’t mean you still can’t find some privacy at the resort.
