El Dorado Hot Springs in Arizona
Located near Phoenix, El Dorado Hot Springs is a privately owned facility which offers both private and public natural pools (mainly tubs) to the thousands of visitors each year. What makes this such a popular attraction is the tubs and pools themselves are completely odorless by having a PH level of 8.2 from the natural mineral waters. Most people at the end of their visit mention how it’s like soaking in silky water leaving their skin as smooth as a baby.
The area around El Dorado Hot Springs is pretty primitive so don’t expect to find to much other than the natural tubs to relax in. However, many locals say El Dorado is their favorite spot due to the mineral balance and the effects they feels after a 30-45 minute soak.
El Dorado Hot Springs – Public Pools
- Desert Pete – This is an all nude springs pool area with chairs to relax in as well as a shower for pre and post rinsing. You can bring your own lunch if you’d like to have a quit bite in between soaks.
- Sunset – Just as the name suggests, this hot spring can host up to six people and offers a stunning view of Saddle Mountain in Arizona, making it very popular once the sun starts to go down and those bright pink and orange sunsets begin.
- Desert View – Very similar to Sunset with great views of the Arizona landscape and ideal during dusk hours.
El Dorado Hot Springs – Private Pools
- Desert Saloon – If you want to get away from the world for a bit and just be one with nature, this private natural pool is the perfect answer. The tubs are fed by the natural springs of Arizona and leave your body feeling brand new.
El Dorado Hot Springs Overnight Accommodations
The Desert Pete area offers a two room bunkhouse if you’d like to stay the night. There is also a smaller room called Mariposa. There aren’t many lodging options available around El Dorado Hot Springs, but there is quite a bit of tent or RV camping in the area. It’s only a short drive from Phoenix so no need to break out the camping gear if you prefer staying in a hotel.
