Details about Carlon Falls

The best way to get to Carlon Falls is by taking Highway 50 east from Sacramento towards Lake Tahoe. After about an hour drive, you will arrive at Pollock Pines where you turn onto Sly Park Road and continue on until you reach Wentworth Springs Road. From there it’s only another fifteen minutes before you reach your destination – Carlon Falls!

Once at the falls, visitors can enjoy breathtaking views from numerous vantage points along the trail system that winds its way through this pristine wilderness setting. There are several trails that lead up to different sections of the falls depending on how much time one has for exploring or hiking in general; some trails even provide access into parts of Desolation Wilderness which lies adjacent to Carlon Falls.

In addition to simply enjoying their surroundings, people often come here for fishing or swimming in one of two large pools below the cascading waters; however there are certain restrictions concerning these activities so it’s important check with local authorities first prior to engaging in them. Due to its remote location and lack of crowds, many consider this spot ideal for camping as well but make sure you bring all necessary supplies as no amenities exist nearby nor do any stores sell food items within close proximity either (the nearest town being Georgetown).

Overall, visiting Carlon Falls provides an opportunity like no other – allowing guests a chance not only soak up stunning scenery but also take advantage of recreational activities such as fishing or swimming while hopefully having some peace and quiet too! For those who appreciate natural wonders this place should definitely be added onto their bucket list whether for just a day trip or extended staycation alike – either way promises plenty memorable moments worth savoring!
